In my quest for worthwhile dark fantasy I struck another winner with Prince of Thorns. The protagonist is an evil, cunning, marginally psychopathic young lad, determined to be a King before he's 15 years old. He is a very well developed character and you are probably going to end up liking him more than you are comfortable admitting. Solid dark fantasy - 5 stars.
